Clinical Hypnotherapy for Insomnia, Anxiety and Habit Change
I help your nervous system release what your conscious mind can't shift alone.
What Is Hypnotherapy?
Your subconscious mind runs 95% of your behavior - including the patterns controlling your sleep, habits, anxiety, and stress responses.
The disconnect: Your conscious mind wants to sleep, quit smoking, release anxiety. Your subconscious believes those old patterns serve a purpose.
The solution: Through guided relaxation and focused attention, hypnotherapy accesses your subconscious, releases outdated protective patterns, and shapes new ones that make your body feel safe and heal.

MY PHILOSOPHY: WHERE INTUITION MEETS SCIENCE
Meet Sherri Kozubal, Certified Medical Intuitive Practitioner and Hypnotherapist
With 30 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Clinical Sleep Health professional (CCSH), and Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), I bring deep clinical healthcare expertise to Medical Intuition and Hypnotherapy.
What Makes My Approach Unique
30 years of clinical expertise
As an RRT, CCSH, and RPSGT, I understand medical terminology, diagnostic processes, and how to communicate findings your healthcare team will respect.
Cellular-level precision
I see intricate anatomical and physiological detail of the body - providing specific information you can take directly to your doctors.
Nervous system expertise
My specialization in respiratory and sleep health gives me deep understanding of autonomic nervous system dysfunction - which underlies most chronic conditions.
What Conditions Can Hypnotherapy Help With?
✦ Chronic Insomnia & Sleep Disturbances
I WORK WITH:
Racing mind that won't turn off at bedtime
Middle-of-night waking
Sleep anxiety ("I'm afraid I won't be able to sleep")
Insomnia that hasn't responded to CBT-I or medication
Non-restorative sleep (sleeping but never feeling rested
Fear of bedtime
-
Drawing on 30 years as a sleep specialist (RPSGT, CCSH), I treat the root cause of insomnia - not just symptoms. I understand sleep architecture, nervous system physiology, and what's actually happening when your body won't let you rest. Hypnotherapy retrains your nervous system to recognize that sleep is safe.
✦ Quitting Smoking & Breaking Unproductive Habits
I WORK WITH:
Smoking cessation
Nail biting
Procrastination patterns
Emotional eating
Phone/social media addiction
Over or under eating
Other repetitive behaviors you want to release
-
Habits live in your subconscious - willpower alone rarely creates lasting change. Hypnotherapy addresses the why behind the habit. We identify the underlying need the habit is meeting (stress relief, comfort, distraction) and address the emotional triggers that activate the habit and install new, healthier responses to those triggers
✦ Anxiety & Stress-Related Conditions
I WORK WITH:
Panic attacks and panic disorder
Social anxiety
Health anxiety (fear of illness)
Performance anxiety (public speaking, test anxiety)
Chronic stress and overwhelm
Phobias and specific fears
-
Anxiety isn't "all in your head" - it's stored in your nervous system. Hypnotherapy helps your body learn it's safe to relax. We retrain your nervous system's threat response and install calming resources you can access anytime.
✦ Limiting Beliefs & Self-Sabotage Patterns
I WORK WITH:
Self-sabotaging behaviors
Patterns that keep you stuck (same relationship issues, same career blocks)
Childhood beliefs that no longer serve
Fear-based decision making
Imposter syndrome
Perfectionism and control issues
People-pleasing and boundary issues
-
The beliefs you formed in childhood still run your life today - often subconsciously. Hypnotherapy identifies and rewrites them.

“I had trouble sleeping for a very long time.
I have never been hypnotized and had no idea if I could be, but I decided to give it a go. After just 6 sessions, I’m now sleeping a solid 7 hours. I very highly recommend Sherri Kozubal and her Hypnotherapy practice.”

No. You maintain full control. Hypnotherapy is a genuinely collaborative process. You can speak, ask questions, move, open your eyes, and have total agency to end the session at anytime.
-
Most people can if willing. Depth varies, but even a light hypnosis is therapeutic.
-
Hypnotherapy is directive - I'm guiding you toward specific therapeutic goals, not just relaxation.
-
This answer, of course, depends on what you’re working on. For simple issues, 1-3 sessions are recommended. For more complex anxiety related conditions: 6-12 sessions are recommended. Most clients need 6-8 sessions to see lasting change.
-
Your first hypnotherapy session is often about building trust. We can try different techniques. Even if your results aren’t outwardly "dramatic," therapeutic work is happening at a subconscious level.
-
Yes. Research shows remote hypnotherapy is as effective as in-person sessions. As an added benefit, many find it easier to relax at home and we desensitize you to your triggers in your home environment as well.
